Thomas O. Malcolm, 76, of Marshalltown, IA died Sunday, November 4, 2007 at his home with his loving wife near his side. Per his wishes, Thomas was cremated. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 9 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church located at 201 E. Church Street, Marshalltown. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Malcolm; his son, Chris (Brenda) Malcolm of Witchita, KS; his foster son, Robert (Carin) Bardwell of Albuquerque, NM; three grandchildren, Reed Malcolm, Carrie Jo Snyder and Carleen Shirk; and one great-grandson, Hayden Shirk His parents, one brother and one daughter preceeded him in death. Thomas O. Malcolm was born November 11, 1930 in Arkansas City, Kansas, the son of Orville and Mamie (Waldorf) Malcolm. Thomas married Peggy Rose Fisher on August 5, 1950 in Carthage, Missouri. He was the president of Tama Meat Packing from 1980 to 1990. Thomas was a member of the American Legion and served in the United States Army. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Marshalltown, Iowa.
