Sheila Ann Flannagan

Sheila Ann Flannagan, 53, of Cedar Rapids, died November 12, 2007 at St. Luke’s Hospital following a battle with cancer. Funeral Services will be held 11:15 AM, Friday, November 16, 2007 at Zion Lutheran Church, Hiawatha. Rev. Daniel Krueger will officiate. Friends may call from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at Zion Lutheran Church. Graveside Inurnment will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Cremation Society of Eastern – Central – Western Iowa. Survivors include her husband William P. Flannagan, son Patrick (Brooke) Flannagan, daughter Jennifer Flannagan, grand daughter Harper Flannagan all of Cedar Rapids; her parents Elmer and Helen Hanken; and brothers Steve (Maurene) Hanken of Cedar Rapids, and Phil (Angie) Hanken of Monticello. Sheila Ann Flannagan was born February 15, 1954 in Monticello, Iowa the beloved daughter of Elmer and Helen (Hanken) Ortgies. She was united in marriage to William Patrick Flannagan on June 2, 1973 in Monticello. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, and enjoyed the many activities and friends that the church brought her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to many and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Sheila’s honor be made to the Lutheran Women’s Mission League, c/o Zion Lutheran Church, 201 First Avenue, Hiawatha, Iowa 52233.
