Cesar Palmer, 76, of 4426 Wendy Lee Lane NW, died Wednesday, November 14, 2007, in his home surrounded by his family, following a long illness. A Celebration of Life open house will be held at Claudio Palmer’s home, 805 W. 13th St., Sterling, Illinois 61081, on Saturday November 17, 2007, from 2 to 6 PM. Arrangements by Cremation Society of Eastern, Central, and Western Iowa. Survivors include his wife Nora, two sons Claudio Palmer and wife Rosa, and Marcelo Palmer and wife Brenda all of Sterling, Illinois, two daughters Adriana Palmer of Rock Falls, Illinois, and Jennifer Musick and husband Joey of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a sister Anna Jimenes de Palmer of Barcelona, Spain, eight grandchildren Trisha and Wally Palmer, Tori McDaniel husband Brandon, and Katie Palmer all of Sterling, Illinois, Gabbi Palmer and Blake Ready of Rock Falls, Illinois, and Collin and Isabella Musick of Cedar Rapids, and two great grandchildren Ebon and Libbi Kendrick of Sterling, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents Fransisco Palmer and Josefa Jimenes, and a brother Diego Palmer. Cesar was born September 14, 1931 in Barcelona, Spain. He married Nora Millan on April 17, 1958 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was an assistant foreman at National Manufacturing in Sterling, Illinois, for 25 years. He enjoyed reading history books and listening to opera music. Special thanks to everyone at Iowa Blood and Cancer Care, Dr. Fusselman, and everyone at St. Luke’s Hospice, especially Marilyn and Amy, for all of their help and support. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
