Keith “ Pops” Herman Obrosk, 79, of Dysart, Iowa died Sunday, May 20, 2007 at the Sunnycrest Care Center in Dysart, Iowa following a lengthy illness. Graveside services and inurnment will take place at a later date at the Dysart cemetery. Survivors include his son Greg and spouse Betty Obrosk of Chicago, Illinois; daughter Gail Brooks of Henderson, Nevada; three sisters, Bea Losenicky of Vinton Iowa, Ruth Frank of Independence, Iowa, and Rachel Vaitkus of Broadview, Illinois; and former wife Eleanor Obrosk of Dysart, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Flossie Gravatt. Keith “Pops” Obrosk was born October 9, 1927 in Dysart, Iowa to Herman C and Alma Hark Obrosk. He grew up and spent most of his life in the Dysart area. ‘Pops” served in the Army for almost four years during WWII. He returned home to Dysart and married Eleanor Nass on September 11, 1955. “Pops” was owner and operator of Obrosk Mobile Milling for over 37 years. He was a member of the American Legion and the United Church of Christ. “Pops” enjoyed his family, fishing and ballgames, especially the Chicago Cubs. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa was entrusted with the arrangements. Cards and letters may be sent to Greg Obrosk at 3641 S Normal Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60609.
