Darold Raymond Springer

Darold Raymond Springer, 89, of Marion, Iowa died May 7, 2007 at Northbrook Manor in Cedar Rapids following a long illness. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Inurnment: Czech National Cemetery. Survivors include son Steven Springer of Kalona, Iowa; two grandsons, Phillip and David Springer of Austin, Texas; and a brother Leonard Springer of Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and one sister. Darold R Springer was born August 4, 1917 in Ionia, Iowa to Amos W and Maude Guyer Springer. Darold served his country during World War II in the Army and upon returning home married Anna Mae Koningsmark. He made his home in the Cedar Rapids area and was employed at Rockwell Collins for over 40 years. He was a member of St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marion. Arrangements were entrusted to the Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa.
