She married Richard L. Padavich Jr. on October 22, 1977 in Rock Island County, IL. She worked several years in Insurance with AAA but it was Nancy’s part-time work where she was known best. She made many dear friends during her decade at Regal (later HyVee Wine & Spirits) on Devils Glen Road in Bettendorf. She listened, laughed and cried with the store “regulars”. She was beloved by customers, employees and local shopkeepers. Nancy had many guardian angels that stopped by with their well wishes, notes, gifts at the store and we would like to thank all those who offered their concern, encouragement, and prayers. In addition, her family will not forget your kind words of encouragement and inspiration during these past few months. “Remember, her body is Heaven bound. Yet, she is always near” -RLP Jr. She enjoyed counted cross-stitch, was an avid collector of Wizard of Oz memorabilia, and was a scorekeeper for little league, pony league, and men’s softball. She was a supporter for veterans’ affairs and liked to attend concerts. At Nancy''s request memorials may be made to the Clarissa Cook Hospice Home at 2546 Tech Drive in Bettendorf, IA in Nancy’s name.
