Obituary for Ronald L. Holden

Ronald LeRoy Holden, 73, of Maquoketa, Iowa, died Friday, July 6, 2007 at the Maquoketa Regional Health Center, Maquoketa, following a brief illness. Per his wishes, Ronald was cremated. No services are planned. The Cremation Society of Eastern Iowa is handling the arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Holden; Daughters, Ronda Holden of Texas, Joni Bos of Iowa; Son, Guy Holden of Arizona; Brothers, Richard Holden of Texas and Merlin Holden of Florida. Also surviving are several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter and a sister. Ronald LeRoy Holden was born March 1, 1934 in Osceola, Iowa the son of Guy & Louise (Carson) Holden. He married Barbara Ann Floyd on January 3, 1981 in Maquoketa. Ronald worked as a carpenter for many years before retiring in 1989.
