Shirley Mae Schaul

Shirley Mae Schaul, 64, Manchester, died Friday, December 21, 2007, following heart complications. A memorial gathering will be at 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 24, 2007, at the lower level of The Glenn, in Manchester. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 3:00 p.m. on December 26, 2007, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, in Cedar Rapids. Inurnment will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa is assisting with the arrangements. Survivors include six children, Peter, Anna Pereiro, Amy Castel, Duane Jr., Angela Morris, and Nickolas; five sisters, Norma Nietert, Helen Lentner, Sharon Gormley, Karon Fromm, and Carol Bulman; 14 grandchildren; and 2 stepgrandchildren. Shirley was born December 3, 1943, in Iowa City and was the daughter of Arland “Josh” and Mary “Caroline” (Andersen) Bowdish. She grew up on a farm north of Whittier and graduated from Springville High School. She lived in Denver, CO for 10 years and has lived in Manchester since 1980. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in Manchester. Shirley was a loving and devoted mother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
