Gerald Louis Meek
Robbie, Lisa and families, Tom and I are sincerely sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. We are keeping each of you in our hearts and prayers during this sad time. When I think of Jerry Meek, I picture the ambulance. What a very dedicated volunteer for so many years! You have our most sincere sympathies.
Lisa, I just learned about your father's passing and was so sorry to hear the news. In many ways he was an original. I can still picture him delivering the mail to our home in the country -- he always had a smile and a wave for us. And I remember him entertaining us girls with jokes during your legendary slubmer parties. I hope the love and support of family and friends brings you comfort during this difficult time. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Been thinking of you since I got the word Friday afternoon. Wish we could of came up, but Paul isn't doing very good. Constant going thru test. Believe both of us are ready to give-up. Jerry was a good nephew. Typical Meek, loved his sports. Take care . Love to all, Aunt Faye
Joni, I am so sorry for your loss. I know that you took good care of Jerry and I know that you have been there for him during the loss of his parents and Jim. Jerry had his faults,as we all do, but he was a good husband, good father and a hard worker. He was dedicated to whatever he put his mind to do. I, personally, am proud of his service to our country and the fact that he became a great paramedic. I am also proud of the work ethic he gave our children during the years of paper routes, lawn mowing, and snow shoveling. And I know the kids appreciated hearing his voice at every ball game they ever played. He has had pain since he returned from Viet Nam but it never stopped him. He always said, " I hurt if I am not working too, so I might as well work." I know he is pain free now.
Joni and Jayne our sincere sympathy during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Jim & Mildred Deike
