Shirley Jayne Daniels, 79, of Parkersburg, IA died Friday August 3, 2007 in her home. At Shirley’s request the body has been cremated. Reverend Betsy Piette will hold a Celebration of Life Service Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Parkersburg United Methodist Church in Parkersburg. The Family will greet friends and family starting at 9:30 am. Inurnment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery on Parkersburg, IA. Shirley was born August 25, 1927, in West Union, IA to Jay and Violet (Jacobsen) Bowdish. She attended Coe College for one year. She was united in marriage to Rollin Daniels on February 13, 1948 in West Union. Rollin preceded her in death in 1974. She enjoyed tole painting, playing games and putting puzzles together with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed watching tv and solving word-game puzzles. Shirley was a member of the Parkersburg United Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters; Rebecca Daniels, fiancé Bobby of Waterloo, IA, Sally Hiber of St. Cloud, MN, and Diana Huisman, of Parkersburg, IA, fiancé Ron and his daughter Tori. Also surviving are ten grandchildren; Josephine (Sean) Alstott, Bradi (Wes) Johnson, Chris (Elicia) Luhring, Miranda (Ray) Slay, Kreg Pringle, Ben Hiber, Brandon Huisman, Abby Huisman, Sarah (Tim) Barcz, John Luhring and greatgrandchildren; Emma Alstott, Elle Alstott, Payton Johnson, Gavin Johnson, Seyann Luhring, Blayne Luhring, Ty Luhring, Starr Slay, Ray Slay, and Lincoln Barcz. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Rollin, daughters Karen Pringle and Josephine Daniels, and a grandson Joseph Hiber II.
