Obituary for Wilbur Russell Rose

Wilbur Russell Rose, 82, of Urbandale died October 4, 2006 at Senior Suites following a lengthy illness. Memorial Service Friday 2 P.M. at Valley United Methodist Church. Rev. Immanuel Tabelisma will officiate. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Franklin Township Cemetery, Mitchellville. Arrangements by the Cremation Society of Eastern Central Western Iowa. Survivors include his loving wife Joan D. Rose and two sons Mike (Nora) Rose of Urbandale, and David (Meg) Rose of Chicago, three grandchildren Steve Rose of Ames, Bridget and Sam Rose of Chicago. He is also survived by 4 brothers and one sister, Joan’s 4 children, their spouses, and 7 grandchildren as well as 5 brothers and sisters in law. He was preceded in death by his parents. Wilbur Russell Rose was born April 20, 1924 in Maxwell the beloved son of Cap and Harriet Rose. He was a graduate of Mitchellville High School and a graduate of Drake University. He married Joan Dee Gardner on May 30, 1998 in Des Moines. He was a CPA working for himself for many years. Memorial Donations may be made to Valley United Methodist Church, or Hospice of Central Iowa.
