Obituary for Lucille R. Estes

Lucille R. Estes, 77, of Slater died Friday, October 27, 2006 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames following a long illness. Survivors include four children, R. Dwaine Estes of Waterford, MN, Guy L. Estes of Virginia, Carol Lynn Pierce of Slater and Timothy E. Estes of Humboldt; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren Also surviving are sisters Betty Hawkins and Judith Lewis and brothers Ray Hyatt Jr. and Francis Hyatt. Lucille is preceded in death by a son, her husband, a brother, and her parents. Lucille was born March 14, 1929 in St Louis, MO to Ray and Mildred Hyatt. She married Ollie Estes August 7, 1951 in Camp Lejeune, NC. She worked in nursing for many years. She was a member of Slater Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting.
