Obituary for Maxine Schnelle

Maxine Schnelle, 89, died Monday, May 8, 2006. Survivors include a son, Henry T. of Medford, OR; daughters, Joyce (Larry) Wright of Mt. Vernon and Joan Schnelle of Madison, OH; sister, Marie Johns of Pleasantville; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great great grandson. Maxine was born February 12, 1917 in Perry, IA to Tom and Treacy O’Connor. She was one of five Irish sisters. On September 18, 1936 Maxine married Walter George Schnelle. She worked 36 years at Quaker Oats. Maxine loved to spend her free time with her grandchildren. She loved her cats, loved to travel, especially to France to see her grandchildren. Maxine’s children and grandchildren loved her very much and she will be greatly missed. There will be a private Memorial Service held at a later date in Pleasantville, Iowa.
