Cynthia Lou Zvacek

Cynthia “Cindy” Zvacek, 64, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passes away on Friday, May 5, 2006 at the Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa after a lengthy illness. She will be cremated with a family burial held at a later date in the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors include husband Charles “Chuck” Zvacek of Cedar Rapids; two daughters Debbie (John) Seals of Kansas City, MO and Laurie (Rick McNabb) Zvacek of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren Jeremiah (Jill) Zvacek of Cedar Rapids, Amanda (Jimmy) Stoufer of Columbia, MO, Jennifer (Jimmie) Jester of Kansas City, MO, and Melissa Chmelicek of Kansas City, MO; three great grandchildren Nico Zvacek, Tyler Stoufer, and Gavin Stoufer. Also surviving are two sisters Sandy (John) Frasher, and Pam Mclellan both of Marion; one sister-in-law Mildred Harover of Fairfax, IA; one uncle Bob (Barb) Mead; and several nieces and nephews. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents and one half brother John Harover. Cynthia Lou Weeks was born August 19, 1941 to Delmar and Ruby (Sparrow) Weeks in Cedar Rapids, IA. She married Charles Zvacek on April 10, 1958 in Cedar Rapids, IA. Cynthia was employed with the Hy-Vee Drug Town Stores in the customer service department of the Post Office for 13 years before her retirement in December of 2002. She served as treasurer for Waltonian Archers for 14 years. Cynthia was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed. Memorials may be directed to the Mercy Hospice in Cynthia’s name.
