R. Michael Ford

Please accept our condolances to the entire family. We think of all of you often and have many memories of the days on Knollwood Dr. We will not be able to attend the funeral or visitation. I have an all morning appt. at U of I hospital for a followup on the removal of a benign tumor last fall. Know that we will be thinking of all of you at this time and wish we could be there. Come down some time! Little Mike knows where we live. You are always welcome. Kerwin (Butch) Carol and the Hulbert Family

To Mary and family--We both were saddened to read in Sunday''s Gazette that Mike passed away. We offer all of you our most sincere sumpathies. We have a whole bunch of wonderful memories of the lives of all our families and our "memberships" in the Vernon Heights Yacht Club. What good times those were and our recollection is that Mike had his full share of the neighborhood fun. He was our good friend and will be missed by all of us. We regret that we will be unable to attend tomorrow's service as we will be on our way to Chicago. Warm regards to all of you. Ann and Jack Walters

Dear Mike Ford Sr. Family: We wish to express our sincere condolences at your loss of this very nice man. I have always had the fondness of memories of Mike especially when he allowed our family to visit his home at Okoboji. We had such a great time and had so much fun the week we were there. I don’t believe we have had such a peaceful vacation since. Whenever I did see Mike he always had a smile on his face and a very friendly hello. We have enjoyed this special person all these years and now it is God’s turn to enjoy Mike. Gary and Diane Clark

Mike and Mary were, to quote my husband "the best neighbors we ever had". Mike put up with, and even seemed to like, our large barking dog. Trent really enjoyed talking with Mike about his times up at the lake. Our son Bannock had his first trick or treating experience at Mike and Mary's house. Mike will be truly missed Love Ingrid, Trent, Bannock, and dog Jett

Julie and Bill, We were so sorry to hear of the passing of your father Julie. Knowing how close you are to your parents, we understand the loss you and Bill must be feeling now. Having lost a parent I know the void that is there, but time will heal and your many happy memories together will pull you through. Call us when you feel like it. Mary, I don't know what to say except that I am so sorry.........that you couldn't celebrate your 60th aniversary with Mike............that you will miss his presence so much........ BUT you must take care of yourself with the help of your children and grandchildren. Mike left quite a legacy didn't he? Remember, you can call on me......Donna Baermann
