Ruth Ann Sauser

Ruth Ann Sauser, 76, of Dubuque, Iowa called home to the lord on Friday, July 14, 2006, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Ghost Church in Dubuque, Iowa with the Rev. Tom Zinkula officiating. Inurnment will be held at the Mount Calvary Cemetery of Dubuque, Iowa at a later date. Ruth Ann Lehnen was born April 21, 1930, to Joseph and Lucille (Winters) Lehnen in Dubuque, Iowa. She married William Sauser on April 29, 1950 at the St. Patrick’s Church in Dubuque, IA. Survivors include her husband William Sauser of Dubuque, IA; son Terry (Sarah) Sauser of Houston, TX; daughter Marcia (Tim) Hosier of Dubuque, IA; three brothers Marvin Lehnen of Green Valley, AZ, Ray (Betty) Lehnen of Kieler, WI, and Joe (Jenette) Lehnen of Prairie Du Chien, WI; two sisters Donna Kieffer of Darlington, WI, and Janet (Charles) Waller of Ankeny, IA; and one sister-in-law Shirley Lehnen of Gainesville, FL. Also surviving are three grandchildren Jillian (Jake) Murphy, Lindsey Hosier, and Ryan Hosier all of Dubuque, IA; two great grandchildren Tyler and Ashlynn Murphy of Dubuque, IA. Her parents, one brother Robert Lehnen and two sister-in-laws preceded her in death. Ruth graduated from Dubuque St. Joseph’s High School. Ruth was employed with John Deere in Dubuque, IA for 24 year in the Computer Service Department before her retirement in 1984. She was a member of the Dubuque Holy Ghost Church and she enjoyed crafts and traveling. Ruth was very proud of the fact that she traveled to all 50 states. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Dubuque Holy Ghost Church in Ruth’s name.
