Linda & Cheryle; I would like to offer my sympathy to both of you. I delivered groceries for Jim from the Collins road Hy-Vee. I really enjoyed my many visits with him & how he always loved to get his yellow daisies with baby,s breath. I will truely miss him & all the amazing stories he would tell me about when he was growing up & as he got older ,on his own in Hollywood . Wow , what an amazing man & interesting life he had. I will have to say that I was very blessed to have had him touch my life, the way he did. The strange thing about all last week was, that I thought about him ever delivery day & waited for his call. Not hearing his voice, or seeing his smile will be what I will miss most about him. Jim, may God Bless you & keep you close!Love you!
I was so sorry to hear of Jim's passing.I used to work for a cleaning service and cleaned his apt. at Blair house & his small house by Mt. Mercy. What a neat neat man and his little sheltie dog(forgot name). He told many stories And i enjoyed listening to him. And even after i quit cleaning I went to visit him once or twice. I dont think he needed the cleaning, but some company. I sure enjoyed him. He will be missed. My thoughts go out to his family.
To Jim's family, I will not forget my visits with Jim from time to time.We would sit in our power chairs and talk. He was an interesting gentleman. He handled his frailities with grace and determination. I regard him as a friend. Bob
