Kirk Edward Jeffries

Kirk E. Jeffries, 72, of Waterloo, Iowa passed away Saturday, August 19, 2006 at his home after his battle with cancer. Per his wishes, Kirk was cremated. There will be an inurnment service held on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Survivors include his wife Judith Jeffries of Waterloo, IA; his children Emanuel Jeffries of Waterloo, Sarabeth Jeffries of Waterloo, Nivan Jeffries of Waterloo, Kylie Jeffries of Waterloo, Bruce Jeffries of Iowa Falls, IA, Harvey Jeffries of Rudd, IA, Tim Jeffries of Mason City, IA, Roxanne Francis of Mason City, IA, Michael Casey of Waterloo, Ronald Casey of Hudson, William Jeffries of Renwick, IA, Kevin Casey of Aurora, IL, John Casey of Dexter, NY, and Rebekah Lazo of Lebanon, MO. Also surviving is one sister Una Meeker of Mason City, IA, twenty-eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Jeffries parents, two brothers, and three sisters, one son, four grandsons, preceded him in death. Kirk Edward Jeffries was born January 23, 1934 to Pete and Minnie (Gast) Jeffries in Nora Springs, Iowa. He married Judith Schwantes on August 29, 1981 in Hudson, Iowa at the St. Timothy Lutheran Church. Kirk was employed with Hawkeye Community College in the maintenance department for 14 years before his retirement in 1998. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Jeffries family for memorial of their choice.
