Jack Elwood Timmerman

Jack Elwood Timmerman, 66, of Burlington, IA passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at his home surrounded by family. A Celebration of Jack’s life will be held on Saturday September 2, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the family’s home at 4103 Summer Street in Burlington. Survivors include a son Scott (Mikki) Timmerman of Burlington, his mother Virginia, three sisters; Joyce Colton of Texas, Diana Miller and Melody Peterson both of Burlington, and one brother, Earnest Timmerman also of Burlington. Also surviving are grandchildren Christen, Courtney, and Chance Carman and several nieces and nephews. His wife Glenna, his father Earnest, a brother Charles, and a special friend Cheryl precede him in death. Jack was born Wednesday May 22, 1940 in Burlington to Earnest and Virginia Timmerman. He married Glenna Hopkins on August 18, 1962. She passed away in 1989. Jack was a wonderful man full of life and love. He lived several years in Wisconsin where he retired from Oil Gear. He loved the outdoors, fishing, boating, and most of all his family. Rest in peace Jack, we all love you very much.
