Obituary for Doris I. Bunn

Doris I. Bunn, 68, of Montezuma, died Sunday April 30, 2006 at The Montezuma Nursing and Rehab Center in Montezuma, IA. Arrangement are being held by The Cremation Society of Eastern-Western-Central Iowa and Watts Funeral Home of Montezuma. She was born on October 14, 1937 in Oskaloosa, IA to Earl and Mary Ferree Corbin. Doris worked as a cook, a waitress and a bookeeper at various restaurants including Dickey''s Prarie Home, Village Inn, Skell Diner and the Monte Tap. In 1988 she went to work for Sigs Mfg. where she was employed for 16 years before retiring. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Debbie Bunn of Sedalia, MO, three daughters and two son-in-laws, Joyce and Danny Curley of Laclede, MO, Brenda and Dave Fisch of Montezuma, IA and Esther Earley of Tama, IA, eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, her mother Mary Corbin of New Sharon, IA and one brother and his wife Don and Ruth Corbin of Adrian, MI. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Corbin, one brother Clifford Corbin and one infant grandchild. A celebration of life memorial graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 6th, 2006 at The Madison Township Cemetery northwest of Oskaloosa, IA. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that a memorial fund be established to Grinnell Regional Hospice in honor of Doris.
