John J. Hinkle

John J. Hinkle III, 75, of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday April 12, 2005, in his home following a long illness. Services will be held at a later date. Survivors include his wife Jean, daughter Donna (Ivan) Kuhn of Charles City, Iowa, daughter Jean (Michael) Kuker of Fredericksburg, 13 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by a daughter Carol Ann Bonnin and grandchild Cliff Cory Bonnin. John was born August 3, 1929 in New London, Conn. to Alburn and Myrtle (Swan) Hinkle. He served in the US Air Force from March 1947 to March 1950. He married Jean Staplins on June 30, 1951 in Mystic, Conn. He was a mill operator and sign painter, for Ottawa Silica in Conn. for 16 years. He loved being out doors and all of nature. He enjoyed painting, and his passion was bird watching.
