Elden Leroy Wallace

Elden Leroy Wallace, 82, 907 Main Street, Delmar died Monday, March 29, 2004 following a long illness. Memorial Services: 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 1, 2004 at the United Methodist Church in Delmar by the Rev. Dawn Phares. Family and friends are all invited. Surviving in addition to his wife Edna are three sons, Roger Wallace of Washington, D.C., Billy Wallace of Phoenix, AZ, and David Wallace of Clinton; two daughters, Mary Ruggeberg of Delmar and Debra Bagley of Tyrone, PA; a foster daughter, Molly Ohara; 11 grandchildren, Doug, Matt, Alex, Dan, Mike, Tim, Joey, Justin, Cody, Junior, and Deven; and 11 great grandchildren.. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Elden was born February 17, 1922 in Crawford County the son of Elford and Effie (Straight) Wallace. He married Edna Mae Cook on September 17, 1947 in Elk Point, SD. Elden graduated from UTE High School and received his degree from Iowa State University as a DHIA Supervisor. He served as a DHIA Supervisor for 29 years until his retirement in 1983. Arrangements by Cremation Society of Eastern Iowa.
