Phyllis Joan Goodrich

Phyllis Joan Goodrich, 61, of the Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls, died Thursday morning, June 17, at the Care Center following a lengthy illness. Memorial services will be held Monday, June 21 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Iowa Falls, IA., with Father James Dubert officiating. Friends may call at the church after 10:30 AM on Monday. Inurnment will be in St. Mark’s Catholic Cemetery. Phyllis is survived my her husband, Melvin, of Dows, IA; a daughter, Pamela Gimzo and husband Michael of Lecompton, KS; four sisters, Catherine Weiss, Rosemary Bailey, Mildred Reynolds and husband Larry, and Rita Smith all of Alden, IA; four grandchildren Tosha Gimzo, Tonya Gimzo, Shane Gimzo, and Michaela Gimzo all of Lecompton, KS. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Jensen, and her parents. Phyllis was born September 17, 1942 in Franklin County, Iowa, the daughter of Hargus and Eunice (Brass) Harlan. She married Melvin on October 21, 1959 in Webster City, IA. Phyllis was a homemaker. Arrangements by the Cremation Society of Central Iowa.
