James C. Zwanziger
James C. Zwanziger: 83, of Nashua, died Friday evening, October 31, 2003, at Muse-Norris Hospice Center in Mason City after a long illness. A Graveside Memorial will be held at 2:30 pm Tuesday, November 4 at Sunny Side Memorial Gardens in Charles City by Fr. John Hemann. James is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eileen Zwanziger of Nashua, two sons, James Zwanziger Jr. and wife Susan of Nashua and Larry Zwanziger and wife Pat of Nashua, two brothers, Donald Zwanziger of Nashua and Virgil Zwanziger and wife Rosemary of Nashua. Two sisters; Evelyn Niemeyer and husband Donald and Lois Westervelt and husband Bud all of Nashua. Four grandchildren; Jamie, Tony, Tim, and Mike Zwanziger. His parents and a brother, Robert Zwanziger, preceded James in death. James was born August 2, 1920, in Boyd, Iowa, the son of William and Caroline (Rausch) Zwanziger. He married Eileen Harrington on October 27, 1947 in Nashua. James farmed the Nashua area for many years retiring in 1976. Memorials may be sent to the family.
