Dorothy Frances (Schroeder) Scott, 70, of 2200 Seneca Dr. in Burlington, died Monday, April 14, 2003 at her home after a long illness. Memorial services at 1 PM on Sat. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Burlington. Inurnment at Harris Cemetery in Dallas County, Ill. The Cremation Society of Eastern Iowa is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Edward, two daughters, Beverly Parker of Mt. Pleasant, Annette Roberts of Burlington, two sons, Jeffrey, Timothy and his wife, Donna all of Burlington, a sister, Altaretta Rossell of Galesburg, ILL. and four brothers, Gerald Schroeder of Burlington, Gary Schroeder of Ft. Madison, Larry Schroeder of Paxton, ILL. and Harland Schroeder of Indianapolis, IND. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, brother and son in law. Dorothy was born on June 6, 1932 in Galesburg, ILL. the daughter of Gerald and Hazel Reed Schroeder. Dorothy graduated form Dallas City Community High School in 1951 and married Edward L. Scott on April 14, 1956 in Dallas County, ILL. She was a machine operator at Schaffer Pen in Ft. Madison for several years and also had worked at IRC/TRW, Assembly, in Burlington, BHS/SCC, taught cake decorating adult classes, Stoermers, as clerk and craft designer in Burlington and was the co-owner and operator of Scotty''s dairy bar from 1980 to 1990. She served in the Navy during the Korean War. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts, doll collecting going to the casino boat and bingo. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Great River Hospice, 1221`South Gear Ave., West Burlington, Iowa 52655
