Obituary for Gloria M. Erickson

Gloria Erickson: 68, of 16495 130th Street in Randalia, Iowa died Thursday afternoon, December 5 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo following a courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at a later date. Gloria is survived by two sons, Jeff and Joel Erickson both of Randalia, Iowa, two sisters, Faith Vargason of Rockford, Illinois and Zoe Bark of Waterloo, Iowa, a brother David Hedrick of Bend, Oregon and a good friend Janet Stahr. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Gloria was born April 7, 1934 in West Union, Iowa, the daughter of Spencer and Cora (Daniels) Hedrick. She married Jack O Erickson in 1955 in Kirksville, Missouri. Jack died in 1978. She worked as a nurses aid and Bishop-Drumm House in formerly of Des Monies now located in Johnston, Iowa. Gloria raised horses at their acreage where she also loved to garden.
