Carol Sue Vessell
Carol Sue Vessell, 75, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on November 6th, 2025. A Celebration of Life with family and friends will be held on November 11th, 2025 at the LULAC Club in Ft. Madison, IA at 4:00 pm.
Carol was born on July 14th, 1950, to Earl and Guadalupe (Piloto) Davis in El Paso, TX. She was a foster mom and CASA volunteer for many years, and absolutely loved reading in her spare time. Carol’s furry companion of many years, Sadie, was a blessed source of love and affection up until their final days together.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Guadalupe Davis; her sister, Beatrice Dietsch, and her brother, Earl Davis Jr.
Carol is survived by her loving children; her sons, Randy Davis and Joshua Vessell of Ft Madison, IA, and her daughters, Layni and Faith Vessell of Ft Madison, IA; her sisters, Gerri (Mike) Davis-Slocum and Monica (Steve) Carter of Ft Madison, IA, Donna (Carl) McEntee of Niota, IL; her brother John (Karen) Davis of Salem, IA, and her special, long time friend, Sharon Magill of TX.
