Alfred Peter LaFella Sr.
Alfred Peter LaFella Sr., 87, a resident of Keystone Nursing Care in Keystone, Iowa passed away, November 12, 2025. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.
Alfred was born on July 26, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York. He was the son of Mary LaFella. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1955-1959. Alfred married once to the mother of his children, later divorced. Throughout his life Alfred had worked at Brooklyn Gas, was a police officer, worked for American Airlines had a roofing business and continued to roof into his 60’s, and worked as a corrections officer. He was best described as an old school Italian gentleman. Alfred loved to travel. He was a gypsy at heart and liked to move around. Alfred kept himself physically fit. He liked to lift weights and hit the gym. He enjoyed walking with his dogs and many of them were named Gypsy over the years. Alfred stayed informed and always had Fox News playing on the television. He loved being single and being able to do whatever he wanted at any time. Alfred enjoyed visiting casinos and playing Texas Hold ‘Em. He also liked being outdoors and being on the water. Alfred will be remembered as an honest man, calm and loving.
Preceding him in death was his mother and son, Alfred Peter LaFella Jr.
Survivors include his children, Rosmarie LaFella, Dominick, and Jesadae LaFella; thirteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
