I was sorry to hear of John's death. I knew him when he was on faculty here at Maharishi U. What a wonderful, kind, sweet man. I always greatly admired him.
Dear Dian and family, Dr. Ong was my math teacher while I was a student at Maharishi School in Fairfield, Iowa in the early 2000's. Math was a very difficult subject for me, and Dr. Ong has left a lifelong impression on me as being kind, patient, nurturing and understanding. At the end of class with him, he gave all the students a math book that he personally selected that suited them. He knew I loved old books, so he gifted me the oldest math book he could find. It was one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever received. I will forever think of him fondly and I share his kindness with the world. God bless.
