Dear Jean, My condolences.Bud was a gifted and generous person. He made a person feel good just by talking with him. How lucky I have been to know him. You and your family are on my good thoughts. Take care.

We were so sad to hear of Bud's passing. He and Jean were such a bright spot in our day at Mercy. Like clockwork they would show up to volunteer always with a smile, positive outlook and a can-do attitude. Bud was known as the "wheelchair man." He maintained and kept all the hospital wheelchairs in working order...and that's a big job. Those chairs get used day in and day out by nurses, patients and families. Bud played a very integral role in spreading The Mercy Touch. This is for the family members: We didn't want to bother Jean, but we have a beautiful poster size photo of Bud and Jean that we'd love you to have at the church if you'd like. They were "models" for our generosity heals initiative where we highlighted donors and volunteers who make a difference here at the hospital. Please email me if you'd like to have it. Sympathy and prayers from all of us at the Mercy Foundation office.

? Dear Jean, Cyndi and Gary, I loved seeing that picture of Bud. He had a great smile and such kind eyes. It made me smile when I saw it as I have great memories of our time spent together growing up. Talking and eating popcorn in the summer on your front porch was always fun. The picture also brought tears and sadness for the loss of your husband and father. Bud Beck you will surely be missed. My heart goes out to all of you and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love and hugs. Linda McElhaney ?

My sincere condolences to all of you. I have many fond memories of your Dad and husband. I remember the fun times we had on the farm or just at your house on 19th Street. Later I enjoyed seeing him at Mercy Hospital as a volunteer. Thinking of you.
