Charles "Chuck" F. Langerman

Charles “Chuck” F. Langerman, 85, of Clermont, Iowa, passed away peacefully April 21, 2024 at the Keystone Nursing Care Center, Keystone, Iowa.

Chuck was born on January 7, 1939 to Edward and Neva (Rogers) of Fayette, Iowa.  He was a 1957 graduate of Fayette High School.  Chuck was a U.S. Army veteran having served from 1958 to 1961, he was stationed in Alaska on the Aleutian Islands for a year of his service.  He was also employed by Hygrade Foods as a butcher and with Valley Community Schools as a custodial engineer.  

In 1962, he married Sharon (Graff) of Oelwein, Iowa.  The couple had three children before Sharon passed away of cancer in 1988.  He was married to Linda Bugenhagen from 1993 to 2001.

Chuck was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.  He loved motorcycles, reading, firearms and spending time with his family.
  
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Edward Jr. and Roger Sieck (Lorraine), father and mother in-law James and Evelyn Graff, sisters-in-law Linda Heldt, Janie Kitterman (Phil), and Barb Langerman.

He is survived by his children, Michael (Patti) of Isanti, MN; Diane (Robert Pailthorpe) of Elberon; and Scott (Lisa) of Cedar Rapids; his brother, Richard of Hawkeye; brother-in-law, George Heldt of Estherville; sister-in-law, Kathy Baty (Lonnie) of Troy Mills;  and grandchildren Jesse, Kelli, Rebekah, Kerk, Luke, Abbey, Kayla, Zach, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. 

A private family burial will be held at a later date.
