Glen Deen James
Glen Deen James, 79, of Hiawatha passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Per Glen’s request, services will not be held at this time. The family respectfully asks for privacy. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.
Glen was born on August 15, 1942, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, the son of Aaron and Opal Okla (Deen) James. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1962-1968. He was united in marriage to Marilyn K. Ridge on July 22, 1967, at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida. Glen worked as a Boilermaker with Boilermaker Local 83 for thirty-two years, retiring in 2000. He was a resident of Hiawatha for over fifty years. In his free time, Glen enjoyed golfing. Glen was a 32nd Degree Mason. He loved attending his grandchildren’s sports and activities.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-four years Marilyn of Hiawatha, four children Rita (Dave) Bryant of Cedar Rapids, Robyn (Darin) Reese of Anamosa, Renee (Jason) Neighbor of Alburnett, and Kevin (Jessica) James of Palo, eleven grandchildren, and one sister Katherene Seawright of Oklahoma.
Preceding him in death was his parents, one brother Don James, and one sister Jannalee Proctor.
