Margaret C. Emerson, 87 of Cedar Rapids died Friday April 28, 2017 at Living Center East. Per Margaret’s request there will be no visitation or service. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela (Michael) Schmitz of Cedar Rapids and Patty (Gary) Agans of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Margaret was born on July 29, 1929 in Woodburn the daughter of Thomas and Lillian Heston Page. She married Robert Ray Emerson on June 8, 1946 in Atchison, Kansas. Robert passed away in 1994.
Margaret was a pre-school teacher for many years. She enjoyed travel and the time spent with her beloved family and friends. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial fund has been established.
