Harold Perkins
Harold “Bud” Perkins, 83, of West Des Moines (WDM), died on Sept. 25, 2017. A celebration of life will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 PM on Sept. 30, 2017 at the Chicken Coop in WDM.
He is survived by his daughters, Sue Perkins of WDM and Cherrie Nelson (Cole) of Ft. Collins, CO.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, and his son Scott.
Bud was born on May 5, 1934, in Des Moines and moved to Omaha at age 5. In 1975, he returned to Des Moines and was employed in optical sales for many years. More recently, Bud was a long-haul shuttle driver for Willis Auto until he retired at 80. Bud enjoyed time spent with family and friends and was a lifelong fan of the NE Cornhuskers.
