Gelena G. Pulliam, 100, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2017 at Northbrook Manor Care Center. A private graveside service will be on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Meierhoffer Funeral Home in St. Joseph, MO.

 

Gelena was born on October 2, 1916, in Glenwood, IA, the daughter of Fred and Etta Bomer McIntire. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Bruce; together they visited nearly all fifty states and several European countries.  

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bruce, and siblings Theresa Chase, Joy McIntire and Avanelle Dashner.

 

Left to cherish Gelena’s memories are her daughter Pamela Cleveland, granddaughter Kristen Channel (Daniel), and three great-grandchildren James, Shelby, and Anna. She also leaves a nephew, Sherrill Dashner (Criss).
