The Cremation Society of Eastern - Central - Western Iowa
was established to provide professional, compassionate services
to the many Iowans who prefer the simplicity and dignity of cremation.
Each of our facilities is licensed by the State of Iowa and, unlike
many funeral homes, we own and operate our own crematories.
As funeral costs continue to escalate, more people are turning to
cremation as a dignified alternative to elaborate- and expensive-
burial services. Today, nearly 19% of Iowans choose cremation over
burial. The Cremation Society of Eastern - Central - Western Iowa was established to
serve these individuals.
We
will not mislead you regarding the cost. When you contact the Cremation
Society, you will be quoted the total cost of your services. We
do not quote a low price and then add hidden fees, such as crematory
fees, or an expensive "minimum" cremation container. We will fully
explain all of our services and answer any questions you may have,
thoughtfully and honestly, just as you deserve.
Cedar
Cremation Center
Iowa's first, state of the art, technologically advanced cremation
center is located in Eastern Iowa. The Cedar Cremation Center is
nestled within the Cedar Memorial campus in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Prairie style flowers and grasses, cobbled waterways, ponds and
fountains surround this Frank Lloyd Wright inspired building.
This
beautiful and unique facility was designed not only to serve the
needs of families interested in cremation but also to provide a
place of spiritual calmness that comforts and inspires visitors.
Eastern Iowa residents will be encouraged to visit the center to
learn more about cremation and the many options it affords. The center
was exclusively designed with areas specifically for arrangements,
cremation merchandise selection, positive identification of loved ones, refrigeration as well
as the crematorium with private family viewing. The interior design
complements the prairie style of architecture and is extremely comforting
to those who visit.
