David Arthur Luse, 82, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Crestview Acres, Marion.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Gale of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Barb Luse of Cedar Rapids; son, Greg (Monica) Luse of Des Moines; brother, Richard Luse of Cedar Rapids; also surviving are 7 grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jeff in 2013, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
David Arthur Luse was born February 4, 1935 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Clark and Mabel (Field) Luse. On June 22, 1957, he married Gale Lou Hansen at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He worked as a machinist at Iowa Manufacturing for many years until retiring in 1997. David sang with the Cedar Rapids Harmony Hawks for over 10 years, enjoyed woodworking, fishing and deer hunting.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
