Mary Alice Cowles
Mary Alice (Kohl) Cowles passed away peacefully on January 24th at the age of 74 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City.
A celebration of life will be held at her grandson’s residence: 6300 Westwind Rd. Cedar Rapids, IA Tuesday, January 31st from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, with a buffet beginning at 5 PM.
Mary is survived by her husband, Larry Cowles, 2 daughters and three grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Mary was born and raised in Cedar Rapids. After graduating high school she worked at Rockwell Collins and later on at Square D, where she retired from. Mary was creative and loved doing a variety of crafts. She loved the outdoors and tending to her gardens.
She will be severely missed but never forgotten.
