Juanita "Jeanne" Apacki

Juanita “Jeanne” Apacki, 96, of Marion, Iowa, formerly of Peoria, IL passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospice.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Peoria, IL.

Survivors include her son, Andrew (Marilynn) Carter of Marion; granddaughter, Lora (Tony) Garcia of Midlothian, TX; step daughter, Sharon Lewis of Galesburg, IL; two step grandsons, Brett Lewis, Chris (Stephanie) Lewis and step great grandson, Gabe all of Peoria, IL; and also surviving are several nephews and a niece. Jeanne acquired her Iowa Freese family in 2016, and all of them are grateful to have had her in their lives for the last year.

Jeanne Lingenfelter was born November 11, 1920 in rural Fulton County, IL the daughter of Sheldon and Nellie (Brown) Lingenfelter. She enjoyed quilt shows, dining out and “she shopped till she dropped”. Jeanne also enjoyed being with her family and will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to St. Luke’s Hospice, 1026 A Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402.
