Gerald Buseman

Gerald Buseman, 82, of Parkersburg, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Pinnacle Specialty Care in Cedar Falls where he resided for the past two months. Plans for memorial services are pending at this time.

Gerald was born September 23, 1934, in Butler County. He was a lifelong resident of Parkersburg, Iowa. Gerald was employed by International Paper company in Cedar Falls for many years before retiring. Gerald served his country during the Korean War in the Army.

Gerald will be missed by his many family and friends, and some wonderful neighbors. Gerald had many hobbies, but is remembered for his love of fishing, hunting and boating. His nieces and nephews will remember him for boating, skiing lessons and being the fun uncle who had many toys to play with throughout his life. His family always looked forward to time spent with Uncle Gerald. Friends remember Gerald as great friend who was willing to help and loved to visit. 

Gerald will also be remembered for his kindness and wonderful attitude towards life, even at the end when he was ill. Gerald was a man who voiced few complaints and was rarely unhappy.

Survivors include two brothers and their wives, Raymond and Javone Buseman of Pella, Harry and Nancy Buseman of Johnston and a Sister-In-Law Bonnie Buseman of Waterloo. Also nephews Dan Buseman, Curtis, Craig and Chris Buseman and Mike Buseman and nieces Karlyn TerLouw and LaFonda Davidson along with their families including many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Buseman and Fannie (Feckers) Buseman, a sister Alida in infancy and his brother Lee Buseman.
